Question by kitty_katari: Why do I keep getting an error message when trying to log into my WoW account on the website?
I’m installing WoW right now because I want to start playing again, but I noticed that whenever I try to log in under account management on the site it says “service not available”. I did a google search to see if other people were having the same problem and it seems like the only time people are having this problem is on maintenance days, but today’s Thursday. Any ideas on what’s going on or how I can fix it?

did you switch your account to the battlenet site, all accounts go thru there now so if you havent played in a while it might need to be switched, other than that i dont know.

I don’t think that it is possible to do that yourself. But you could try contacting billing@blizzard.com to see if they can help you out.

I got my Battle.net account changed by some user who somehow found my pass/username so i sent blizzard a webform but they did not reply, i done a little research and it said i should phone blizz up, but im not sure how much it will cost me.

Email them immediately! They might ask you to send photocopies of your passport, and then email them details such as your name, birth, etc.
Anything they wish to know, just email them. That is how I got back mine. I never had to call them.
Just say honestly what happened. EVERYTHING.

Yup you sure can.
You’ll basically start playing where you left off on your free trial.
Or if you want to make other characters on other realms (with the same account) you can do that too.

yes, it is, just go to ebgames and ask for a 60 day game card its like 30 or 40 bucks

I have the game installed and everything, but my account expired. Do I need to reactivate it even if I’m going on a private server? You know, the ones that boost you to level 80 just to have fun?

You’d have to talk with the people running the private server as to their requirements.
The fact that it is a private, nonauthorized server probably means blizzard membership isn’t necessary.
Beware of things that server places on your comp that makes it impossible to ever play the real game again on blizz’s servers, though.
